The Angler’s Guide
Everything a new moonlit angler needs before casting into Mistralune.
Each page opens separately, so new anglers can find an answer without searching through one long scroll.
Cast a Line
Fishing begins in the stream’s Twitch chat while Mistralune is active.
- Type
!fishonce in chat. - Your Twitch display name is sent to The Angler’s Find.
- Watch the on-stream pond as your line casts, waits, and reels.
- The lake reveals either a catch or a miss.
- If you catch something, it is recorded under the Twitch name that cast the line.
You do not need bait, a purchase, or a download. Commands are processed in arrival order, so give the pond a moment before casting again.
Catches & Misses
A successful catch triggers the full reveal and shows the discovery’s collectible card on stream. The record includes the catch name, category, rarity, Gold value, whether it is new, and how many copies you own.
- New discovery
- Adds a new unique entry and your first owned copy.
- Duplicate
- Adds another owned copy of something already discovered.
- Miss
- Adds nothing and removes nothing. No loot card is awarded.
A miss is not a penalty. It simply means the water kept its secret on that cast.
Keeping Your Finds
Yes, successful catches are yours. Mistralune uses the Twitch display name from chat as the ownership identity. Connect the website to the same Twitch account and it can recognize the collection saved for that name.
- Fish in Twitch chat with your usual account.
- Open Mistralune and choose Connect with Twitch.
- Twitch confirms your public identity and returns you to the lakeside.
- Your plaque and Backpack load the catches belonging to that identity.
Connecting is optional for browsing. It is needed when you want the website to know which collection is yours. Mistralune stores the Twitch profile identity used for matching; it does not create an avatar for you automatically.
Backpack & Folio
The Backpack is your working inventory. Its eighteen visible slots fill only with real catch types that you own—there is no sample collection pretending to be yours.
- Inventory slot
- Shows the catch artwork and total quantity owned.
- Select a catch
- Opens that exact catch inside the painted folio.
- Folio details
- Shows rarity, owned quantity, available copies, Stardust value, and discovery location when known.
- Enlarge album
- Opens the same folio in a larger optional reading view.
Duplicates stack by catch type instead of consuming a new slot for every copy. Sort, filter, protection, and release controls will grow as their systems become available.
Rarity, Gold & Stardust
The regular Mistralune collection contains 120 unique discoveries. Rarity marks how uncommon a catch is; it does not change who is allowed to find it.
- Unique progress
- Increases only when you discover a catch type for the first time.
- Lifetime Gold
- A permanent prestige total. Every successful catch—including duplicates—adds its Gold value. Gold is never spent.
- Duplicates
- Increase the quantity owned for that catch.
- Stardust
- A future spendable currency, primarily earned by releasing extra duplicate copies.
- Protection
- Future safeguards will help prevent accidental release of favorites and high-rarity catches.
My Angler
My Angler is your personal identity space in Mistralune. Today, the top plaque can show your Twitch handle, collection progress, and the Moonlit Angler sigil while avatar creation is still being prepared.
The completed destination is planned to include an overview, a modular painterly Angler avatar, wardrobe, achievements and titles, favorites, recent finds, Lifetime Gold rank, and collection highlights. Identity choices such as body, skin tone, face, hair, and other representation options are intended to be free.
Pokket
Pokket’s destination is open. Here you can meet the deaf creator and streamer behind Mistralune, read why the lakeside exists, and learn how accessibility and community shape the world.
Her counter also offers direct links to Twitch and optional support. Visiting, fishing, collecting, and belonging at the lake never depend on payment.
The Curious Catch
The Curious Catch is planned as Mistralune’s Stardust destination. It will offer special outfits, hats, accessories, companions, profile decorations, and magical cosmetics.
Its rule is simple: personality, never power. Cosmetics will not improve fishing odds, rarity chances, Gold, or collection statistics. Basic identity and representation choices belong to everyone; Stardust purchases are for fantasy fashion and playful extras. Seasonal items may return rather than relying on harsh fear of missing out.
Settings
The lakeside already supports browsing on desktop and mobile, visible fishing results, and a Twitch connection shown in the identity plaque. Connect there when you want the website to recognize your saved collection.
Settings will grow with real comfort controls for text, contrast, sound, motion, display behavior, and other accessibility needs. Each option will appear when there is a working feature for it to control.
Beyond the Overlook
The lakeside is already open for live fishing, Twitch identity, permanent collections, the Backpack and folio, Pokket’s page, and this Starlit Codex. Catches collected now remain tied to the Twitch identity that found them.
- Explore now
- Fish during live streams, connect Twitch, view your saved collection, and read the Angler’s Guide.
- Seasonal collections
- Festival catches, including Gloamwater discoveries, will remain separate from the regular collection.
- Avatar creation
- A modular painterly Angler with free identity options and collectible fantasy fashion is planned.
- Collection tools
- Favorites, protection, duplicate release, and Stardust safeguards will arrive after they are fully tested.
My Angler, The Curious Catch, and expanded Settings will open as their working features are ready.
Meet Pokket
I’m Pokket, the deaf creator and streamer behind Mistralune.
Mistralune began during a tender chapter of my life, when I needed somewhere kinder for my mind to wander. Building this world gave that feeling somewhere creative to go, and it grew into something I had long wanted for my viewers: a way to share in the stream and feel included even when there is no spoken commentary.
Streaming as a deaf person comes with communication barriers. Spoken commentary helps many hearing streamers connect with their audiences; I communicate differently and do my best to interact whenever I can during a game. I never want anyone to feel pressured to talk, though. You are welcome to chat, lurk, show support, cast a line, collect strange little treasures, or dress your Angler in something cute. If you can feel comfortable and happy here for a while, that is enough for me.
Why Mistralune Exists
I wanted fishing to feel like stepping into a fairytale—more than typing a command and receiving a plain result. Mistralune is meant to be a small escape from reality: cozy, magical, whimsical, and full of beautiful details.
Every cast may bring up something cute, funny, spooky, sentimental, or completely unexpected. The catches and their flavor stories are little personalities and curiosities to discover, collect, laugh about, and adore.
The hearts found throughout Mistralune are personal to me. The Wishing Heart honors the love that helped inspire this world and the hope I still hold for him. It is a reminder that a tender heart can keep creating, caring, and wishing for beautiful things.
About Mistralune
Mistralune is an interactive fishing world made for the stream and its community. Anglers can fish, discover and collect catches, keep the ones they adore, and eventually release eligible extra copies to receive Stardust. Stardust can be used for playful belongings from The Curious Catch.
Every successful catch also adds Lifetime Gold. Lifetime Gold is never spent; it records an Angler’s history and raises their place on the leaderboard the longer they fish.
Achievements and earned titles are recorded inside The Starlit Codex. An earned title may then be equipped through My Angler, where visitors will also be able to personalize and dress their own painterly Angler.
Seasonal events may occasionally drift across the lake, with the first planned for October. Someday, I would love for people to step into the world of Mistralune with their Anglers, but that is a much larger dream for later. For now, I am building the parts I can care for properly.
My hope is that Mistralune becomes somewhere you want to return to: a pretty little world where you can escape for a while, fish, collect, laugh at an Old Boot, treasure your favorite catches, and make your Angler feel like your own.
A Lakeside Where Words Are Optional
Accessibility and inclusion are part of Mistralune’s foundation because I am deaf. I believe strongly in supporting the Deaf community and showing that we can play and enjoy games without needing to hear them.
Meaningful sounds should have visual equivalents. Captions should describe what is truly happening. Important information should never depend on hearing alone. I also want people with other access needs to find thoughtful options here and feel at home because they were considered.
